All all antenatal and postnatal visits to women in Ayrshire Maternity Unit have been suspended. Health chiefs made the call today in a bid to stop the potential spread of the coronavirus.Inductions of labour are also included in the new measure and partners won't be allowed to stay in the midwifery suite.New rules come into force on Monday, March 30 and only one birthing partner will be permitted to accompany women when they are in labour or having a planned caesarean section.A statement from NHS Ayrshire and Arran Women and Children's Service said: "Ayrshire Maternity Unit has regretfully taken the decision to suspend visiting for all antenatal and postnatal women in order to limit the potential spread of coronavirus and to protect
