Bayern Munich are preparing to submit a joint proposal with the German FA on introducing salary caps in UEFA member competitions.
The proposal could bring about a more level playing field across Europe as Bundesliga clubs struggle to keep pace with growing player wages and transfer fees.
Fritz Keller, president of the German FA (DFB) has held talks with Bayern chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and the cooperation has led to a proposal penned to European football's governing body.
Keller said: "There are absurd salaries and transfer fees that are no longer credible."We have to talk about salary caps. I am glad that I agree with Karl-Heinz Rummenigge on this point."Therefore, we will write a letter to UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin."
