UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin insists the Euros will go ahead next summer - but the tournament may happen in a reduced number of cities.

There are major doubts about the Euros as they have been postponed from this summer and pushed back to 2021, although there are no guarantees that football and travel will be back and safe by then because of the coronavirus.

Ceferin, the most powerful figure in European football, conceded the initial 12 host cities may not all be able to stage matches, but is adamant the competition will take place. “The idea is that we stay in the same cities,” he said.
