An MP has claimed a spike in coronavirus cases in Bolton could be due to a Spanish holidaymaker returning home and failing to quarantine.
Chris Green, who represents Bolton West, revealed he had been told one of the reasons behind the rise may have been caused by a holidaymaker who went on a pub crawl after returning home.
Bolton now has the highest rate of coronavirus infections in England - despite tighter restrictions being in place for over a month.
The town in Greater Manchester requested to be kept in lockdown earlier this week following a sharp increase in cases despite restrictions being placed on the area since July 31.
