Boots closing 60 branches - including Scots stores - and redeploying pharmacists

Boots is set to close a number of stores across the UK as it aims to redeploy pharmacists to busier branches. The high street firm announced 60 of its shops will shut as its staff deal with increased demand amid the coronavirus crisis, reports the Mirror.

Boots branches on Princes Street and Waverley Street train station in Edinburgh have been included on the list. The healthcare firm's shops inside Glasgow and Aberdeen airports will also close.
