Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is due before the Covid-19 Inquiry today to answer questions about his handling of the pandemic.
Mr Johnson is facing a number of allegations including one that he resisted calls for lockdowns because of the effect on the economy.
His appearance comes after his former chief adviser Dominic Cummings and then-health secretary Matt Hancock alleged that he said he was willing to let more deaths occur rather than impose lockdowns which they say they had been pushing for.
Mr Johnson has denied this claim, but is reported to have submitted a 200-page statement ahead of today and is expected to apologise for mistakes made by his government.
