VIERA, Fla. – Following its first week of classes, Brevard Public Schools said 6,700 students remain unaccounted for and are not registered for in school or learning at home options.The Brevard County teachers union called the unregistered numbers a reflection of parents who are questioning the safety of reopening plans amid the pandemic.Brevard Federation of Teachers Second Vice President Jonathan Hilliard said a lot of parents are waiting to see how things go.“When the community is not sure, this is what happens.
