COVID-19 have dropped to levels not seen since late September of last year, giving some provinces renewed confidence to push forward with their reopening plans.Monday saw just 1,231 new infections across the country.
The last time the daily count was that low was Sept. 26, 2020, when 1,215 new cases were reported.The weekend also saw daily counts steadily drop below 2,000 again for the first time since early last week, with 1,886 on Saturday and 1,520 on Sunday.
Those numbers were also last seen in late September and early October.The past three days brought the seven-day average down to 1,795, a number not seen since early October.
