Christine McGuinness has opened up about a heartbreaking conversation she had with her nine year old daughter Penelope during the pandemic.
Christine, 34 and her husband Paddy McGuinness, 48, are parents to three children with autism – twins Penelope and Leo, and six year old Felicity.
The former model - who recently opened up on her marriage struggles with her husband - has shared some of the difficult moments the family faced during the pandemic, with Penelope particularly struggling with her mental health.
Referring to her daughter as “sensitive”, she explained that Penelope struggled when schools re-opened and she didn’t understand the rules around social distancing.The mum of three explained: "When they opened the schools back up, her teacher wasn’t allowed to give her a cuddle when she was upset and she didn’t understand.
