Covid-19 Test and Protect team has been deployed to a Scots primary school after it was hit by the virus. Health chiefs confirmed contact tracing will be carried out at Lady Alice Primary in Greenock.
There was no confirmation on the numbers of cases or whether staff or pupils are involved. A NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde statement read: "At this time there is no evidence of transmission within the school itself. "To respect and maintain patient confidentiality, no further details will be released." Health chiefs said experts in public health, education and environmental health have been drafted in to support the school and families affected.
