Coronavirus marshals wearing bodycams will be sent to weddings and pubs to ensure there is no rule-breaking, it has been claimed.
The marshals, which were introduced last month, will be used to ensure Brits are complying with social distancing rules, such as not gathering in groups of more than six.
Although the marshals will not have the power to enforce the rules, they can notify the police or council officers of any breaches, The Telegraph reports.
It is understood that £30m has been allocated by the government to local council to introduce the marshals as stricter rules come in amid a second wave of coronavirus across the UK.
