ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Though he has gotten some complaints since it went into effect, Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings said so far, most residents appear to be abiding by the countywide stay-at-home order issued in an effort to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus.
The stay-at-home order, which went into effect Thursday night, will remain in place for two weeks. Through a zoom interview Friday, Demings reiterated the fact that the order is in place to help save lives and reduce the number of cases of COVID-19. “We are simply trying to stop the spread of the virus within our community,” Demings said.
