An NHS nurse battling coronavirus on the frontline shared her horror at loading the bodies of dozens of Covid-19 victims into car park fridges when the hospital she worked at ran out of body bags.
In a harrowing post on social media, NHS nurse Sally Goodwright said it broke her heart to recognise the names of much-loved patients as she was forced to move 40 victims.
Sally said she and five other staff members moved the bodies from morgues into car park fridges. The team wore sweltering protective equipment and Sally said she became overwhelmed with emotion when she noticed the names of loved ones and patients she had cared for.
