Cases of novel coronavirus in Quebec have climbed to 11,677 as of Saturday morning, as worries about residents in long-term care centres continue to grow.
Quebec Premier François Legault announced 25 more deaths on Friday, bringing the total to 241, but said the number of patients in intensive care dropped to 186.
The virus led to 733 hospitalizations across the province. Montreal’s numbers spiked on Friday with over 5,600 cases. The provincial government’s focus has now shifted to elders and staff in long-term care facilities (CHSLDs) where the situation is dire.
