Couple catch more than just feelings on unforgettable first date as both get coronavirus

A New York couple realised they'd left their first date with more than just feelings after discovering they'd contracted the coronavirus.

Nick Crawford, went out with the unidentified woman on March 7 after the pair matched on Hinge. The 23-year and his date visited a score of bars in Brooklyn on their night out, and even met up with a pal who eventually tested positive for COVID-19.

Within days, both started to experience symptoms, but that didn't deter them from continuing to see each other during quarantine.

Nick, a web designer, told MarketWatch: "At that point, coronavirus wasn't even a real threat, it didn't feel real yet." Donald Trump was treating the pandemic as a hoax around the time of the lovebird’s date, writing on Twitter:
