Covid-19: India's active caseload currently stands at 1,16,861. After witnessing upward journey in daily Covid-19 cases, India on Sunday recorded 14,092 new infections in the past 24 hours, according to Union Health Ministry data. With this, the country's active caseload currently stands at 1,16,861.  The data also shows that 16,454 people have recovered from the coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of recoveries to 4,36,09,566.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, N.J. - A 15-year-old Sewell, New Jersey boy has been charged with second-degree manslaughter in the fatal shooting of a 14-year-old boy.Officials with the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office announced Friday that the 15-year-old was charged and taken into custody.Gloucester Township Police were called to a residence on the unit block of Gable Court August 8th, just before noon, on the report of a person shot.Responding officers found the 14-year-old victim suffering from a gunshot wound inside the residence.He was rushed to Cooper University Hospital, where he died a short time later.Investigators determined the 15-year-old was handling the firearm recklessly and it went off, hitting the victim.

CAMDEN - Officials say a powerful odor that wafted over parts of southern New Jersey from a tractor-trailer gas leak has "significantly dissipated" and the dayslong event is contained. Authorities, including hazmat teams, responded to a truck stop on Route 295 in Gloucester County Wednesday afternoon for reports of a suspicious odor emanating from a tractor-trailer.Officials said a TransChem USA trailer was hauling 7,000 gallons of Lubrizol, a chemical additive to natural gas that contains Mercaptain. MOUNT EPHRAIM, N.J. - A massive holiday decoration and neighborhood mascot that stood outside a New Jersey home was torn down and dragged away by thieves in a car.The midnight theft was caught on camera outside the Mount Ephraim of Shannon McKibban, who told FOX 29 that she heard the 12-foot-tall skeleton being dragged down her street."We heard the cinder blocks on top of it kind of flying off, the noise of it being dragged down street," McKibban said.A neighbors' car was also damaged during the heist and some of their lawn furniture was also broken.MORE LOCAL HEADLINES"They drove up the lawn and ripped out of our driveway," McKibban said. MANCHESTER, N.H. - The search for Harmony Montgomery, a New Hampshire girl who vanished in 2019 at age 5 but was not reported missing until late 2021, has now shifted to a homicide investigation, authorities said. Investigators have concluded that Montgomery was murdered in the city of Manchester in early December 2019, New Hampshire Attorney General John Formella said Thursday at a news conference.Montgomery’s remains have not been located, but authorities said biological evidence led them to "this difficult and tragic conclusion."In June, investigators searched an apartment building in the city of Manchester, where Montgomery’s father and stepmother once lived.
