Covid committee meeting ahead of final plan over restrictions

The Cabinet Sub-Committee on Covid-19 is to meet again today to discuss the further easing of restrictions. It comes ahead of a full Cabinet meeting tomorrow when the final plan to reopen the economy and society will be agreed.

The committee met on Friday, but agreed to adjourn and resume today at 2pm. Meanwhile, this morning, Taoiseach Micheál Martin, Tánaiste Leo Varadkar and Minister for Arts Catherine Martin will meet representatives from the live events sector.

They will discuss the sector's reopening, capacity at future events and the potential use of Covid certificates. Separately a sub-committee on housing is also scheduled for this evening.
