Doctors and nurses are being “bullied” into treating coronavirus patients without masks, it has been claimed. NHS workers claim they are being forced to put up with substandard protective equipment as they battle on the frontline of the Covid-19 pandemic.
One medic even claimed staff had been told to “hold their breath” due to a lack of masks. Dr Samantha Batt-Rawden, president of the Doctors’ Association, said: “Lack of personal protective equipment continues to be a critical issue. “It is heartbreaking to hear that some staff have been told to simply "hold their breath," due to a lack of masks.” The warning comes after DAUK joined other unions in hammering the government over a lack of PPE.
