Ed Sheeran is doing what he can to keep his staff employed during the coronavirus pandemic, and refuses to furlough his workers. The Shape of You singer is a part owner of Bertie Blossoms, a restaurant and bar in Notting Hill, west London, alongside his longtime manager Stuart Camp.
However like thousands of others in the service industry, Bertie Blossoms was forced to close its doors to the public in March when the UK went into lockdown to avoid the spread of Covid-19.
Naturally it put Ed’s employees, including waiters, bar staff, chefs and kitchen assistants, out of work for the foreseeable future.
The business has the option of furloughing staff using the new scheme which sees the government pay 80 percent of an individual’s salary,
