An elderly woman died after shooing vicious seagulls as she fell and broke her leg. Margaret Davidson, 91, was chasing the birds and trying to get them away as they tore open rubbish bags hoping to find food outside of her window.
The pensioner was found with a broken thigh bone near the bins at her sheltered accommodation. She was then taken to hospital where she died five days later after developing pneumonia.
The retired barmaid’s daughter, Vi Alexander, said: “Unfortunately, I have no idea how long she had to lay out there until someone found her and came to help. “I asked her if she pressed her community alarm button, but she said she didn’t.
