Billionaire Elon Musk has called for an end to the US lockdown despite the country being plagued by one million infections. The US is the hardest hit country on Earth by the coronavirus pandemic.
It has been placed on lockdown along with other leading countries around the planet. But Musk, who founded car company Tesla, has called for the lockdown to be lifted.
He tweeted: "Free America now." But in the US, there have been more than 58,000 deaths and at least one million infections. His tweet has so far been liked more than 200,000 times with some people supporting his call.
However it was also met with ridicule by many who accused him of being irresponsible. Eugene Gu, a doctor, replied: "I'm not here to cancel or bully you.
