A doctor helping in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic on the front line has shared an urgent plea to the public, amid a surge in daily cases and hospitalisations.
Dr Rachel Clarke, a palliative care physician, revealed she had spent most of the 96 hours prior to her Good Morning Britain appearance on Wednesday morning on call.
Speaking to hosts Sean Fletcher and Charlotte Hawkins, she provided a harrowing account of what it's like in hospitals right now amid "unimaginable" and "overwhelming" numbers of patients being admitted with Covid-19.
Rachel revealed that the amount of people in hospitals with the virus is much higher than it was during the first peak, back in April.
