NHS will start a 24-hour coronavirus vaccine trial over the next 10 days Health bosses have confirmed hospitals will push vaccines out around the clock to stop the spread of Covid-19.

Staff could administer up to 140 jabs per minute in the new trial Sir Simon Stevens, NHS England boss, unveiled the plan today on the BBC's Andrew Marr Show.

It comes as projected vaccination figures for this week are up from around a million the week before. New figures have revealed there have been no new deaths from Covid-19 in Scotland in the last 24 hours.

The Scottish Government confirmed the numbers today as coronavirus cases reached 1,341. The total number of positive cases in Scotland now stands at 162,333 since the start of the pandemic in Scotland..
