Scots are being asked to light a candle for brave army medic Brodie Gillon who died after a rocket attack in Iraq. The Lance Corporal’s family are laying her to rest during a private ceremony today after plans for a full military funeral were thwarted by the COVID-19 crisis.
The 26-year-old’s loved ones are now asking Scots to join them in remembering her by lighting a candle at 9pm tonight.In a statement online, they said: “Join with us to remember Brodie and light a candle in her memory, Tuesday 9pm #shinebrightbrodie. "Our hearts are irreparably broken at the loss of our beautiful, bright and fun loving Brodie."When circumstances dictate we will hold a memorial for Brodie which pays fitting tribute to all she was, but for now we ask
