An angry mum has slammed the weekly Clap for Carers event and said people have "taken it too far" which prevents her kids from sleeping.
The mum-of-two, who does not wish to be named, labelled it as a "joke" in her rant on social media. For the last 10 weeks, millions of Brits have shown their support for carers and frontline workers during the coronavirus crisis, which sees people clapping and cheering outside their homes at 8pm on Thursdays.
Despite supporting the event, the mum says people have "taken it too far" in her street with horn blowing, pans banging and even fireworks going off which prevents her two children from sleeping.
