A nine-year-old girl diagnosed with a deadly brain tumour may not be able to receive lifeline treatment in the US despite help from celebrities - because of coronavirus.
Little Eva Williams was diagnosed with a high-grade diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG), the deadliest type of childhood cancer.
The survival prognosis for the incurable tumour is just eight to 12 months. Her desperate parents Paul Slapa and Carran Williams, from Wrexham, north Wales, quickly got to work fundraising the £250,000 needed for private treatment in New York, after NHS treatment for Eva ran out.
Backed by celebrities including TV star Matt Lucas and author Jacqueline Wilson, Paul and Carran raised over half of what they needed - £142,000 - in just one week.
