The Great British Bake Off bosses have reportedly banned older contestants from this year's line-up because of health fears linked to the coronavirus outbreak.
Many of the show's star competitors have been aged over 60 in previous series, such as Val Stones and Flo Atkins. But telly chiefs reportedly fear older contestants will be more vulnerable during filming and are excluding them from the competition in a bid to make sure the show can still go ahead.
A source told The Sun : "There's a real sense of urgency to get the next series of Bake Off in the can, considering it's one of Channel 4's biggest draws. "That means the nation's baking grans and grandads have been deemed too high risk." A Bake Off spokesperson told the Mirror Online
