Dozens of grieving NHS workers lined the streets to pay their respects to a much-loved colleague - as her coffin passed the hospital where she worked.
Mum-of-two Kirsty Jones, a healthcare support worker for NHS Lanarkshire, passed away after contracting the deadly Covid-19 virus.
The 41-year-old died on April 20 - just after taking up a post in the Covid-19 assessment centre at Airdrie health centre. She had spent 24 years - more than half her life - working at the health board, and worked at University Hospital Wishaw for over two decades.
The guard of honour was organised at the request of the family as only a few people could attend the funeral given current restrictions on public gatherings.
