Jesy Nelson has spoken out for the first time since her departure from Little Mix. The singer, 29, has been taking some time away from the spotlight after announcing she'd quit the band.

In an emotional statement posted to her Instagram Story, Jesy wrote: "I just want to say thank you so much to everyone of you that has shown me so much love and support over the past few days some of your messages have made me feel so emotional and I appreciate it so much.

Love you all." The update comes after the singer announced her departure from the band on December 15. Jesy had previously announced an "extended break" from the group due to "private medical reasons".
