Jose Mourinho is reportedly interested in bringing Inter Milan defender Diego Godin to north London. That’s despite the former Atletico Madrid star having turned Mourinho down two years ago when the Portuguese boss was in charge of Manchester United.
Mourinho wanted to take Godin to Old Trafford however he opted to sign a new deal in the Spanish capital. He departed Atletico last summer, joining Inter Milan on a free, but could be set to depart Serie A after just one season.
And the Mirror claim that Mourinho remains interested in the 34-year-old with Spurs set to shuffle their defence. Tottenham have struggled defensively this season and Mourinho is keen to improve that when the transfer window opens this summer.
