State says it had sought Civil Aviation Ministry to take steps to lessen the air traffic from the five states most affected by Covid-19 as it may not have many quarantine facilities While refuting the media reports that it has called for travel ban, Karnataka government clarified on Thursday that it has only has requested Civil Aviation Ministry to reduce the number of flights, emanating from Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan to Karnataka.
The state's request over these states with high prevalence of Covid-19 cases comes at a time when it is battling with lot of cases owing to inter-state movement.
