The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have refused to say whether they will defy the government by keeping Charlotte from returning to school with other Year 1 children.
Officials at Kensington Palace have been told to stay tight-lipped on what William and Kate decision is about sending their daughter to St Thomas’s school in Battersea, south London when it reopens.
Government sources have said what they choose “will send an unfortunate message” to the parents up and down the country. The parents who have been isolating at their Norfolk home Anmer Hall are said to have considered keeping their children together and maintaining their lockdown routine.
