Police in Windsor, Ont., commenced their enforcement Saturday of an injunction granted on Friday by an Ontario judge to allow for protesters at the Ambassador Bridge to be cleared out. Sean O’Shea has more details on how the enforcement proceeded, with protesters closest to the bridge seen moving back peacefully, while others drove their vehicles away from the area.

COVID-19 in Nova Scotia declined slightly since Friday, the province announced on Saturday.In an abbreviated weekend news release, the province said there were 79 people in hospital who were admitted due to COVID-19 and were receiving specialized care in a designated unit. That’s down by three since Friday.However, another three people were in intensive care, for a total of 14.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM : Five health workers are among the 83 people who tested positive for coronavirus in Kerala while one more death was reported on Thursday, taking the state's infection count to 2,224 and the toll to 18.A total of 62 people recovered from the disease.Of the fresh cases, as many as 27 had returned from abroad and 37, including 20 from Maharashtra and seven from Delhi, were among those who had come from other states, Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan told reporters here.Fourteen people were infected through contact, he said.Thrissur reported the highest number of positive cases at 25, followed by Palakkad 13, Malappuram and Kasaragod 10 each, Kollam eight, Kannur seven, Pathnamthitta five, Ernakulam and Kottayam two cases

ERNAKULAM : Kerala's rise in covid-19 infections continued on Tuesday as the state identified 91 new patients, taking the total tally of active cases to 1,231, according to the state's chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan.Kerala has recorded 2,079 cases in total so far, out of which 848 have recovered including 34 on Tuesday, Vijayan said.A majority of the fresh cases are from people who returned from foreign countries or other states, in line with the pattern seen for a month now.As many as 53 new patients on Tuesday are those who recently came back from foreign countries, the chief minister said.

ERNAKULAM : Kerala's covid-19 cases touched a new high as cases in a single-day crossed hundred for the first time. On Friday, the state recorded 111 fresh cases, its highest single day hike, said the Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.

With this, Kerala's total deaths touched 15, including a Puducherry native who died while in treatment in the state but was included in its tally by the center

ERNAKULAM: One in Kerala died of covid-19 on Thursday, while the state recorded 84 new cases - its highest single-day spike, chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan said.

According to the quarantine rules, all those who return from abroad have to go for institutional quarantine for a week and then remain at their home for another week.
