A host of positive Covid-19 test results have swept through the club’s Bodymoor Heath training ground this week, putting the game in question.
Villa shut the doors to their training ground on Thursday after what the club described as a “significant” outbreak among the first team players and staff.
Players and staff took their routine tests on Monday, and saw an unusually high return of positive tests, leading a number to head into self-isolation.
