The man, who was forced to quarantine in a hotel, made his escape from the fourth floor by tying bedsheets together and forming a makeshift rope, reports Reuters.The 39-year-old arrived in the West Coast city from Brisbane on Monday, July 19 but was denied access to the state under stiff travel rules designed to prevent the spread of Covid.According to police he did not satisfy any exemption categories under existing restrictions for Queensland.He was instructed to leave the state within 48 hours and taken to a hotel for temporary quarantine but just.
