More than 250 patients have now been discharged from Salford Royal after being treated for coronavirus. Hospital bosses today revealed that a total of 265 people who tested positive for the virus have been allowed to return home since the pandemic began.
The latest figure means more than 110 patients have returned home in the last three weeks. In total, 162 deaths have been recorded at the hospital, according to NHS England.
However, no new fatalities have been recorded there for seven of the last eight days. It does not mean that no patients have died within the last 24 hours, as there is often a delay in reporting.
