SPFL chief executive Neil Doncaster has promised further talks with Ann Budge over an offer from philanthropists to put cash into the league.

The Hearts chair had revealed that she had gone to the SPFL with the possibility of cash to help clubs in the lower leagues get through the coronavirus crisis.

Budge had been expressing her frustration at the lack of movement in the offer being accepted but Doncaster has quickly responded to say they will continue discussions this week.And he hopes to have further detail to present to clubs throughout the four leagues this week.Doncaster said: “I have had a number of conversations with Ann this week, including one that also involved another club chairman."I am delighted to have heard Ann’s comment
