The SPFL have held positive talks with investor James Anderson over providing a cash lifeline to crisis-stricken Scottish football.
unveiled Anderson as the potential benefactor referenced by Hearts owner Ann Budge at the weekend. The philanthropist has pledged a multi-million pound donation to the SPFL and its 42 member clubs which could help drag them through the hardships of the coronavirus pandemic.
SPFL chief-executive Neil Doncaster insists Anderson's offer is "extremely generous" and has vowed to fast-track discussions in order to finalise a "concrete proposal.
