It means that since the outbreak of the global pandemic in March a total of 2,494 people who tested positive have died in Scotland.
July 16 was the last time the First Minister announced any deaths under that measurement.In the previous 24-hour period a further 67 people had contracted the deadly virus following a positive test.The National Records of Scotland announced its weekly figures yesterday.
