First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has warned that there will be no big gatherings or events for "several months". In Monday's coronavirus press briefing she warned that fans would not be in stadiums "any time soon".
That sounded alarm bells among SPFL clubs, which rely on gate receipts to remain in business, prompting chief executive Neil Doncaster to release findings from a study that showed SPFL clubs contribute £200million to the Scottish economy in a season.
And on Thursday Sturgeon set out a time frame of months before any large gatherings of people will be safe. The First Minister said: "Careful balances will have to be struck."For example, it may be that certain businesses in certain sectors can re-open.
