Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson Hon FRIBA  (born 19 June 1964) is a British politician, writer, and former journalist serving as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Conservative Party since 2019. He was Foreign Secretary from 2016 to 2018 and Mayor of London from 2008 to 2016. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Today's Good Morning Britain saw the First Minister of Scotland Nicola Sturgeon appear on the show to discuss coronavirus lockdown plans.

However, things quickly turned fiery as the 49-year-old politician asked Piers Morgan, 55, not to interrupt her in an awkward on air moment.

Piers had embarked on raging rant about "dangerous mixed messages" in terms of new government measures. They were discussing Boris Johnson putting in place a new "Stay Alert, Control the Virus, Save Lives" slogan for all to follow.

Nicola revealed she spoke to the PM and advised him to stick with the "stay home" message. She said: "I had a conversation with the Prime Minister last week, I made it very clear to him we should stick with the 'Stay at Home message. "
