A nurse has shared the sacrifice she and colleagues are making as she pleads with people to stick with the lockdown. Single mum Rachel Sutcliffe says that at the end of March she 'made the heart-wrenching decision' to send her four children to live with their grandparents.
The move meant she could help in the fight against covid-19 from the frontline, while making sure she wouldn't pass it on to her children.
She wasn't going to share anything about her own experience, fearing she would be accused of attention seeking. However, after hearing of the number of people breaking lockdown rules - and succumbing to the disease herself - she decided to speak out.
