Coronavirus outbreak: Nova Scotia law enforcement given additional powers to enforce social distancing, self-isolation
Nova Scotia Attorney General Mark Furey, on Sunday, said that as a result of the province’s declaration of a state of emergency, the government had “no choice but to call upon the police and law enforcement community to enforce self-isolation and social distancing.” Authorities have the power to issue fines and enforce orders under the Health Protection Act.
