he was hospitalized for temporary side effects from his ongoing cancer treatment.On Tuesday, the monarch appeared in good spirits as he stepped out to attend an investiture ceremony held at Windsor Castle.At the event, the king chatted with several inductees before awarding them either a knighthood or a Member of the Order of the British Empire title.The official engagement took place just days after he was rushed to the hospital after experiencing side effects from his cancer treatment at the London Clinic.The 76-year-old monarch was back at his Clarence House residence by Thursday night. He did, however, cancel all of his royal engagements slated for the following day as he continued to rest.The king then had to cancel a planned visit to Birmingham to focus on his recovery, with Buckingham Palace saying the cancelation was a “precautionary measure” taken on medical advice.“His Majesty would like to send his apologies to all those who may be inconvenienced or disappointed as a result,” the palace said in a statement.As he continues to make a gradual return to public-facing duties, the palace said he is scheduled to make up for the “unspecified appointments” he missed last week, BBC News reports.Charles — who revealed his cancer diagnosis in Feb.

“Life’s Fragile Moments.”“My lovely dermatologist [was] the one who caught and operated on my mole skin cancer a few years ago, and literally saved my life,” he wrote as the caption of the post, which included several black-and-white photos before and after the operation.“Anyway, after having just finished GMA, I received a message from Dr Tess, with some urgency to return to Los Angeles, as I had two locations on my skin, shoulder and forearm, one of which was melanoma, that should be operated on asap!!” Lennon explained.“So instead of going home to put my Christmas tree up and happily finish the year off, relaxing at home, I flew directly back to Los Angeles, after all my work in New York was done, and went directly from LAX airport, to surgery.”Lennon shared that the operation was successful; however, he’s unsure if the biopsy results will arrive before Christmas.He thanked his doctors “for being able to coordinate this surgery at such short notice, but for once again, hopefully saving my life.”“One can never be too confident in circumstances like this, but we all believe that Dr Tim has saved the day… So fingers crossed for now.”Lennon encouraged his followers to get checked out.“It only takes a short while to do so, and you may just be saving your own life, at the end of the day,” he said, “so please, for the sake of yourself, your family and friends just go to your [doctor] and do what must be done,” he wrote.“I love life and I want to live for a very long time and this is one way, and a choice, that could determine your future.”In 2020, Lennon revealed he had a mole on his head removed after a biopsy showed it was cancerous.Earlier this week, photos circulated of Lennon and his brother, Sean, 49, hanging out at
