Now, the Irish actor has branded COVID-19 a "war" as it continues to wreck havoc across the globe. Opening up about his sad losses, Pierce told Parade Magazine: "I lost two friends to COVID-19.
They were friends of 45 years, and I am godfather to his son. The Mamma Mia star is in constant worry about when the disease will strike again, and he sees it as a "constant threat". "No matter where you are and how beautiful it may be, you still have this awful threat to life looming," he added. "You have to keep pushing the rock
