More than 80 homes could be built on an iconic site in Ramsbottom town centre. Plans for the housing scheme at the former Mondi Paper Mill in Bridge Street have been revealed.
Developer Eccleston Homes says it hopes to build 83 properties, ranging from one bed apartments to four bedroom homes, in a variety of styles.
In January, The Manchester Evening News revealed that proposals were being drawn up for the site, which has been unused since the mill closed in 2008.
Under the plans, the mill's iconic chimney would be preserved, as well as two existing stone buildings which have been earmarked for commercial use.
