Pub bosses looking for a way to get Britain’s boozers open for business as soon as possible say that ripping out the urinals in the gents could be a way forward.
Until a vaccine is produced, we are going to have to find a way to live with coronavirus – so pub and restaurant owners’ trade association UKHospitality has been consulting with the members about ways of reopening for business.
A 75-page draft document produced by UK Hospitality will be sent to ministers in a bid to find workable guidelines for pub managers.
UKHospitality is urging the government to endorse the guidelines to help businesses to prepare for reopening from July 4, as part of its #FAIR4Hospitality campaign, which was launched this week.
