coronavirus could potentially be relaxed in England first, before the rest of the UK, it emerged today. The suggestion was mooted by the Prime Minister, Boris Johnson's spokesman, on Wednesday. He said: “Matters of public health are devolved, so it is a theoretical possibility that the position could be different in different parts of the UK.”At Prime Minister’s Questions in the House of Commons, Boris Johnson said the rule was under constant review and as the incidence of coronavirus declined and “the statistical likelihood of being infected – no matter how close or far you are from somebody who may or may not have coronavirus – goes down”.Mr Johnson is under pressure to reduce the distance in order to help businesses reopen amid concerns.
