The Reception pupils at Corrie Primary School in Denton had been back for just a day when they were sent home to self-isolate on March 9 following a positive case.
They returned from that isolation on Monday, March 22, but this time managed four days before being sent home again, along with youngsters in Years 4 and 6.
Parents have been told that the positive case is in Year 6, but children in Year 4 and Reception have been identified as close contacts.
