Reese Witherspoon has had anxiety her ‘entire life’ as she opens up on postpartum depression

Reese Witherspoon has opened up about her mental health, revealing she has had anxiety for her ‘entire life’, which also lead to depression.

The actor, 44, revealed that she first got therapy for anxiety at 16, telling Jameela Jamil on her I Weigh podcast: ‘I definitely have anxiety, my anxiety manifests as depression so I would get really depressed. ‘It’s like my brain is a hamster on a wheel and it won’t come off and I’ve been managing it my entire life.’ Reese has three children – 20-year-old daughter Ava and sons Deacon, 16, and Tennessee, seven – and revealed she had postpartum depression after giving birth.
